February is considered the month of love. Valentine's Day is around the corner. Couples are buying each other flowers, going on romantic dates, and are showing affection for each other. But February and valentines day isn't just a time for couples to show love to each other, but also a time to practice a little self love ❤️
Whether you're single, in a relationship, going out with your friends or not celebrating Valentine's Day at all, right now is the perfect time to take some time to yourself and get some pampering done. And what better way to do that than making yourself this beautiful Rose Date Smoothie Bowl 😍
Treat yourself to roses and some dates (pun intended) and throw on your fave face mask, run yourself a bath, and relax!
Rose Date Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
1 cup ice
6-7 medjool dates (pits removed)
1 tablespoon plain greek yogurt
1 frozen banana
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup or other sweetener
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon maca powder
Dash of cinnamon
1 teaspoon rose water
Toppings of your choice: I used cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and rose buds
Instructions
1. Place all ingredients (besides toppings) in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour smoothie into bowl, sprinkle with toppings and enjoy!
Side Note: Although February is the time when people are showing the most love for each other, we should remember that we should show our love to others everyday. Tell your family, friends, and/ or partner that you love them everyday. Also, tell yourself that you're loved everyday, and don't forget to TREAT YO SELF!
